The 2009 / 2010 season proved to be the most successful ever for the Club. Finishing 4th in the Middlesex County Football League Premier Division, semi finalist in both the County Association Intermediate Cup and Premier Division Cup and quarter finalist in the League Senior Cup.
The new players attracted to the Club were a group of young skilled footballers who fitted in well with the existing players to produce some entertaining and exciting football that should have gained more success.
Unfortunately, the attitude within the squad changed after a couple of defeats (perhaps due to long term injuries to key players) and commitment by some players disappeared. An attitude of “I will play if selected for the starting 11” emerged which made it impossible for the Manager, Dave Campbell, to select the best starting eleven and sometimes left us with no substitutes. On one occasion we started a game with 8 players, increasing to 9 after 25 minutes, and went ahead with 30 minutes to go and dominating the play but ending up losing 2-1, which probably cost us 3rd place in the league.
This season has finished with Dave stepping down as manager following 14 years in that position, taking the Club from Sunday football to a very respectable Step 7 within the Pyramid System.
Long service awards were presented by Middlesex County Football Association to Denzil Lobb (25 years) and Dave Campbell and Tony Heath (10 years) for services to County Football
