MARSH RANGERS F.C. 2

Bradley Hand (2)

This is probably the furthest distance Marsh Rangers F.C. have to travel for a League Match, across to the East End of London. Having started off very slowly, they started to dominate the half. With only a few minutes gone, slack cover marking by the usually tight Marsh defence allowed Bethnal to take an early lead. All looked bad. Marsh then started to lift themselves as the half went on, and created a number of good chances but were unable to convert them.
Miles Wiggins continued his progress back with yet another very good performance, and Bradley Hand, Bradley Grant, & Mat Mahon along with Jack Bigwood all played their part.
The second half saw Bethnal come more into the match but Marsh were still well in it and applying pressure. It came as no surprise when after around 65 minutes BRADLEY HAND finished off a quick well worked move by Marsh to level the scores. Although Marsh now looked in total control Bethnal scored again some 8 minutes later. Although Jonny Wiggins was kicked in the head in the process the Referee totally ignored this and not only allowed the goal but was trying to get Marsh to kick off with Jonny still laying motionless on the ground. His linemen were flagging, players were trying to alert him, Dave Campbell with the first aid kit was trying to attract his attention ..... but at first he ignored everybody. MAYBE HE THOUGHT JONNY WAS A BIT TIRED AND WANTED SOME SLEEP !!!!!!! Eventually he allowed both physios on to the pitch to see to him. The goal still counted ????? With 5 minutes to go BRADLEY HAND again was in the right place at the right time and equalised for Marsh. This was no more than Marsh deserved but with the final whistle due Bethnal nicked the winner against the run of play. A much better showing by Marsh who will need to be at their best for yet another Cup Match against Hayes Gate F.C. next Saturday.
