This was a very tough match against a team whos Ist Team play 2 steps above Marsh in the Essex Senior Football League and had previously come out with a lot of points against Marsh. This season they are not having things their own way in the League but are still one of the teams to beat if you wish to WIN something yourself. The match kicked off 20 minutes late due to a Bethnal Coach Breakdown .
Bethnal had a rather large no 9 playing for them..... Perhaps 7ft 6 “ + , and Marsh although no longer a small Team had to be careful of him. Marsh got the game underway, and both sides looked dangerous. A number of chances fell to Marsh but were not converted , whilst Bethnal also missed a few themselves. Just before half time TOMMY EDWARDS finished off the first of his two, the second being in injury time at the end of the match. A close match but Marsh showed they mean business this season.
