On perhaps the worst evening for transport for sometime Manager Dave Campbell was let down by a few “ senior “ members of his squad who failed to turn up !!!! Infact they not only let the Manager down but the WHOLE CLUB, their fellow Team mates, and their own respectability ...... but this will probably mean nothing to these worthless people to whom the Club has gone out of its way to provide a very good standard of Football. This season has probably seen the best complete crop of Players we have ever had, but also a large number of the worst attitudes.
Marsh knew they would struggle a little in this match for players, but some still managed to advise the Manager they could not make it for various reasons in an acceptable period of time before the match but some appear not to care less.
Anyway ..... The match .....
Injured star forward Bradley Hand who had come to watch ...... played in goal, and played well, bearing in mind this was the first time he has played there - ever. The rest of the Team... Harrison Ashby, Steven Cloherty, Phil Tubb, Rhys Price, Paul Nolan, Alex Henderson, Lee Henderson, & Craig Drew.
Marsh still played the better football and could, no should, have been ahead at the break.
0 – 0 at half time, Marsh started the second half again as the better side. Kodak, as expected from them, always posed problems but Marsh seemed to be able to control these even with a below numbers & par squad. An early Penalty was awarded to Marsh, but Phil Tubb saw his shot hit the upright and the follow up from Paul Nolan flew over the crossbar. A little later another Penalty was awarded to the attacking Marsh, and this time HARRISON ASHBY made no mistake in putting Marsh ahead . ******* Yes AHEAD. They could not hold this as tiredness & further injury caught up with them but THEY TRIED.
Congratulations to all the team who were made The MAN of the MATCH .
