Marsh started off the better side although Hounslow were also good. Hounslow then, for a short while, gained the advantage in play and Marsh were knocked back into a more defensive mode. Between both sides few shots were fired at opponents goals and the half ended at 0 – 0.
The second half carried on much as the first with both sides cancelling out each other. Until late on both keepers had little to do then with only 5 minutes of time remaining the game sprung to life. First Hounslow broke away, and beat a static Marsh defence to slot the ball home for a late goal. This looked like being the winner until a tired looking Marsh got the ball into the middle and found a very tired looking Tommy Edwards. He somehow raised enough energy to beat a defender and race into the area. He was fouled and picked himself up to take the Penalty. TOMMY EDWARDS scored to rob Hounslow of the win. Just before the whistle blew Marsh may even have been awarded another Penalty but the Referee decided not to give it when Bradley Grant was “apparently “ not fouled in the area. Both sides continue to fly high in the division but No Winner Here Today.
