For a Team carrying as many injuries as Marsh Rangers F.C. just to fulfil a fixture is a great achievement, let alone WIN the match. Deportivo are still rebuilding but Marsh won with such ease that perhaps Deportivo may need to think a little more about their Team Building. On a Wednesday night at Osterley Deportivo were taken apart. With Adam Casey in goal the Marsh defence looked safe & secure and once again allowed other “ departments “ to concentrate on scoring. Having said that, MILES WIGGINS edged forward from defence to put Marsh in the lead. Rhys Price was on hand to urge the midfield forward, and Steven Cloherty once again covered much of the pitch with his prompting & probing until Deportivo crumbled. Further first half goals were scored by ALEX HENDERSON, STEVE CLOHERTY & TOMMY EDWARDS.
The second half saw Marsh ease up, and Deportivo took full advantage with a goal of their own. This seem to irritate Marsh who it back with a further 3 goals from RHYS PRICE (2) & ALEX HENDERSON.
This was a resounding victory for Marsh who fully deserved their 3rd double of the season.
