ABOUT THE CLUB

Marsh Rangers Football Club was formed in 1980 by Queens Park Rangers supporters. The name comes from Rodney MARSH, and Queens Park RANGERS. "RODNEE", was Manager at Tampa Bay Rowdies at the time and agreed to become President of the Club.

We started as a Sunday side and played mostly in the North Hillingdon & District Sunday Football League. Although obtaining a "modicum" of success in the League and various Cups, as well as building a reputation for being a well run and respectable club, the most successful years have been since manager DAVID CAMPBELL joined the club in 1996. He is helped with the coaching by existing player TONY HEATH (300+ appearances)who has passed his Football Association Coaching Certificate.

We decided to change to Saturday Football for the 2000/2001 season and progressed to M.C.F.A. Intermediate Status Level in 2003.(level 11 within the English Football Pyramid)
We had two seasons in the London Commercial League winning Division Three, and being runners-up in both Division Two and the Senior Cup in the following year, after beating many times undefeated British Airways F.C. in the semi final.
Our first season in the Middlesex County Football League saw us finish runners-up in Division One and winning the Divisional Cup and the Sportsmanship Trophy. Denzil Lobb also received the Secretary of the Year award.

In the season 2006/07 our matchday programme editor Tony Heath won the M.C.F.L. "WIRRAL PROGRAMME OF THE YEAR".

Over the years we have played at London Playing Fields Boston Manor, Harlington Sports Centre, Hanworth Villa F.C., Stockley Park and Hillingdon Athletics Stadium.
Although we still train at Harlington Sports Centre we now play on the 3G pitch at ROSEDALE COLLEGE, Wood End Green Road, Hayes, Middlesex. UB3 2SE

We have also played a number of friendlies at Loftus Road and also outside Middlesex, initially against Cornish sides St. Agnes A.F.C. and Illogan F.C. (who now play in the Cornwall Combination League) and at Luton F.C. and Oldham Ath. F.C. when they had artificial pitches and were in the FIRST division. (This was before premier & championship titles).
In addition we have travelled to Italy, Spain and Germany and played representative teams from Turin F.C. (Torino), Barcelona F.C.(Barca), and most recently Bielefeld to compete in local tournaments.

Marsh Rangers have also organised charity matches against the “TV ENTERTAINERS” team, raising money for national charities.
